3P4Care® Avondale Primary Care
What is Primary Care?
Health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses are all part of primary care. It identifies and controls health risk factors before they become concerns. At 3P4Care Avondale, we collaborate with you to take charge of your health by providing expert care and compassion in a welcoming setting.
What are the Special Features of Primary Care?
- Providing care to patients
ages 0 to 100 - Serving patients of all genders
(female, male and other) - Covering all organs (both medical and surgical
approaches) - Offering proper referrals to specialists and subspecialists
- Connecting with patients based on cultural values and preferences while managing their diagnoses
What Should You Expect from Your Primary Care Provider?
Your primary medical care provider is the entry point for most healthcare needs. They will advocate for you, coordinate your care, and ensure your safety throughout your journey in the healthcare system.
At 3P4Care Avondale, we do just that! We believe that community-based general practitioners or family physicians working at clinics or medical practices rather than hospitals are the true primary care doctors. Patients traditionally have easy access to primary care doctors without being referred, whereas specialists can only see a patient after the primary care doctor has authorised a referral.
Is it Okay to Have More Than One Primary Care Provider?
Patients are not recommended to have more than one primary care doctor at any time. Seeing multiple doctors every time you get sick can lead to serious complications, especially if these doctors fail to share your medical records with one another; one missing piece of information could mean the difference between a major diagnosis and a minor one.
